How to maintain focus in our study?

One of the most useless question mostly students asked to me that sir .how much time would we have to study?

They never think about how much they can produce, the can give output.

What are the ways according to which the people do their work?

1. Deep work
2. Shallow work

See if you are improving your skills without any distraction and with full of concentration then you are doing deep work.

In another hand if you are doing a work in which your brain mostly not using and you can do that work with distraction then you are doing shallow work.

For Example:

Like you are doing any work and checking your every e-mail, Responding to every push notification watching facebook feeds continuously. Then you are doing shallow work.

In today’s distraction world deep work becomes very rear but in future anyone who is having this skill then he or she will best performer in his/her field.

To do deep work follows these four things.

1)    Single Tasking

2)    Intense focus

3)    Zero Distraction

4)    Extended period of time

So, let’s see these four things in detail,

SINGLE TASKING

Multi-taking reduces your concentration, when you move from task A to task B then your most of the attention is on Task A that’s why cannot fully focus on Task B.

After sometimes when we respond to some social media notification then you feel like what will be the effect of this on my work. But accentually your mind is programming for the craving of distraction.

Have you noticed that there is no notification on your mobile but still you unlock your mobile phone and start watching your phone?

This happens because your mind is programmed for that.

In research, some peoples are divided into two groups.

Group A and Group B are given some passels to solve the group which did not solved the passels yet then have been interrupted in between and tell to them that you have to come with us because you have to take some decision Then the researcher asked some logical question to them.

Whereas the other groups were given full time to solve their passels. Later the same questions were asked to them. Now you will ask what its result was?

Its result was that those who had solved the puzzle performed better in that test. Compared to the other group who were called in between. Because the questions related to the pastel remained in his mind. Due to which they could not perform well in the test.

ZERO DISTRACTION

Friends, a research was done in 2012 on 205 peoples in which psychologist Hoffman Baumeister. Did a study in which it was found that we can stop ourselves 50% times from seeing social sites and emails again and again. That is, you will see 50 out of every notification out of 100. Now in such a situation, imagine that if all this is true then it would have been a shallow work, in such a situation it becomes very difficult to focus.

INTENSE FOCUS

If we put all our energy into a single task without destructions like a magnifier glass, then we can do more work in less time.

EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME

That is, to do deep work, keep doing that task for a minimum period of time.

You cannot think that you will do deep work for 5 minutes, then take a break and then do it for 5 minutes, then there should be a minimum period of time because there can be half an hour which can be one and a half an hour with the time being 1 hour 2 hour Can convert.
